About the position
SPS Commerce is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join their team, particularly following the acquisition of SupplyPike. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about coding and eager to learn while contributing to the development of cloud-based supply chain management solutions. The intern will work in a collaborative environment, focusing on building high-volume traffic software across various domains including frontend, backend, data analytics, machine learning, and DevOps.
Responsibilities
- Build high-volume traffic software in the frontend, backend, data analytics, machine learning, and DevOps areas.
- Collaborate with product management, UX designers, and other software engineers to build software applications.
- Develop new features from start to finish, including designing architecture, developing, testing, deploying, and monitoring of the features.
- Iterate on improvements, focusing on quality, maintainability, scalability, and performance.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Computer Science/Engineering degree or similar.
- Demonstrated strong programming experience in one of Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, C#, Go, Ruby, Rust, etc.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
- Strong work ethic and ability to flourish with minimal guidance.
Nice-to-haves
- Programming projects outside of the classroom (e.g., Github, hackathons, ICPC) is a big plus.
