About the position

As a Software Engineer IV at Spectrum, you will play a crucial role in deploying, automating, and troubleshooting platform as a service, while implementing CI/CD pipelines for IaaS and CaaS. Your expertise will help streamline deployment processes and resolve complex issues in both lab and production environments, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the technology that supports Spectrum's business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and automate platform as a service solutions.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for IaaS and CaaS environments.
  • Troubleshoot system and data issues in lower and production environments.
  • Collaborate with software development teams to simplify deployment processes.
  • Support tenant requests for lab issue resolution.
  • Contribute to overall release workflow processes and implement CI/CD pipelines accordingly.
  • Build tools for automated deployment and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
  • Analyze logs and perform root cause analysis for complex issues.

Requirements

  • 2-4+ years of experience with database management systems.
  • 2-4+ years of experience in coding, testing, and designing software.
  • 2-4+ years of experience with software development methodologies.
  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of one major programming language/tool.
  • Proficiency in coding languages and syntax, including object-oriented patterns.
  • Knowledge of environments, docker images, container runtimes, and cloud-native app development.
  • Understanding of dependent systems, such as APIs and data stores.
  • Familiarity with design patterns and software architecture patterns.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with containerization platforms like Docker.
  • Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitLab, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Experience with Splunk and Datadog.
