About the position

The Software Engineer Lead plays a crucial role within the Core Technology and DevOps team, leading efforts to develop high-quality solutions for enterprise services and platforms. This position is designed for a visionary leader who can build strong relationships across the organization, collaborating with service users and teams to achieve successful outcomes. The Lead Senior Software Engineer will guide the development and support of features on the EIS product platform, ensuring the delivery of a reliable and effective product that is essential to the company's success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a development team to build and enhance applications in a service-oriented, highly scalable environment.
  • Collaborate with product and technology teams to create IT architecture that supports business and technology vision.
  • Assist program management with accurate estimations and timely delivery of key projects.
  • Contribute to defining standards and governance processes for technology projects.
  • Manage and prioritize engineering initiatives, infrastructure changes, and new feature requests in an agile environment.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and address operational concerns in technical designs.
  • Mentor and grow team members, providing guidance on tooling and technologies.
  • Participate in feature reviews with product owners and other stakeholders.
  • Recruit and assist in the hiring process for exceptional talent.

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software solutions delivery with distributed teams.
  • Strong foundation in Software Engineering, OOAD, Cloud Architecture, Microservices, and SOA.
  • Experience with Agile and/or Iterative software development methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Containerization, and Container Orchestration.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills to influence outcomes at all levels.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions.
  • Expertise in core distributed platforms such as Java J2EE or .Net.
