About the position

The Software Engineer Lead is a key role within the Core Technology and DevOps team, responsible for leading a group focused on developing high-quality solutions for enterprise services and platforms. This position requires a visionary leader who can build strong relationships across the organization, collaborating with service users and teams to achieve successful outcomes. The Lead Senior Software Engineer will guide the development and support of features on the EIS product platform, ensuring the delivery of a reliable and effective product that is crucial to the company's success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a development team in creating and enhancing applications in a service-oriented, scalable environment.
  • Collaborate with product and technology teams to design IT architecture that aligns with business and technology vision.
  • Assist program management with project estimations and timely delivery of key initiatives.
  • Define standards and governance processes to support engineering excellence and cross-enterprise collaboration.
  • Manage and prioritize engineering initiatives, infrastructure changes, and feature requests in an agile environment.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance to the development team on various technologies and tools.
  • Participate in feature reviews with product owners, business analysts, and designers.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering their skills and capabilities in cloud technologies.
  • Recruit and onboard exceptional talent for the team.
  • Evaluate team performance and participate in performance reviews.

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software solutions delivery with distributed teams.
  • Strong foundation in Software Engineering, OOAD, Cloud Architecture, Microservices, and SOA.
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD and containerization.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills to influence outcomes at all organizational levels.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions.
  • Expertise in core distributed platforms such as Java J2EE or .Net.
