About the position

The Software Developer position at State Street Global Technology Services is focused on building core Cloud Services for the Alpha Core Data Services platform. The role requires a hands-on technical contributor with a proven track record in technology project execution, capable of analyzing, designing, and executing mission-critical projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity and self-motivation while driving technical excellence in software development.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutions for various implementations.
• Participate in the analysis, solution design, and delivery of Cloud-based services for the Alpha Core Platform.
• Develop and maintain middle-tier and backend modules using Java, Spring web services, streaming, messaging, SQL, and Cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
• Translate business requirements into deliverables in collaboration with Business Analysts.
• Adhere to SDLC processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience in IT developing data processing solutions.
• Experience in event-driven architectures, message hub, MQ, Kafka is required.
• Exposure to Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, Microservice architecture, Docker, ETL tools, Data as a Service, ACID, and data structures is desired.
• Experience in the financial industry working on financial reporting/regulatory projects is a plus.
• Ability to work closely with business and IT stakeholders to manage delivery.
