About the position

Kforce is seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in PHP, NextJS, Terraform, and WordPress to join their Phoenix, AZ-based team. This contract position offers the potential for conversion to a full-time role based on workload and performance. The role is remote, requiring candidates to work MST hours, and involves collaboration within an Agile product team.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of an established product team in an Agile environment
• Focus on learning support systems
• Engage in content authoring using WordPress, SCORM, and Rise
• Manage tools and services within Toolmart and LTI Tools Management

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in Front End Web Development
• Proficiency in Jira, Git, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, PHP, NextJS, MySQL
• Experience working on Agile teams
• Ability to design and develop APIs and other interfaces to integrate UI applications with backend services
• Ability to work independently and take the initiative in learning and understanding new product systems and features
• Strong skills in NextJS/React

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency with Terraform with AWS and WordPress
• Experience integrating complex systems for continuous build, integration, testing, and deployment
• Working knowledge of learning management systems (Blackboard)
• Enthusiastic self-starter
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
