About the position

As a Software Engineer in Product Security Engineering Tools at Google, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing tooling and automation solutions that support the security of Google Cloud Platform's product catalog. This role involves collaboration with various teams to understand requirements and deliver comprehensive solutions, while also providing opportunities to work on critical projects that impact Google's technology landscape.

Responsibilities

• Develop tooling and automation solutions.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance the platforms and tools that Product Solutions Engineer (PSE) uses to secure GCP's product catalog.
• Work with Technical Program Managers (TPMs), software engineers, and security experts to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge solutions for PSE's various technical and scaling challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• 2 years of experience building developer tools (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks).

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
