About the position
As MISO's Software Engineer, you will develop applications that support the power grid, ensuring efficient outcomes for one of the world's largest energy markets. This role involves creating and supporting practical solutions that tackle key challenges, collaborating with various teams to enhance decision-making and optimize market operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and build high-performance applications.
- Code, test, and implement programs to meet business and compliance needs.
- Collaborate with teams to create tools that enhance market operations and decision-making.
- Partner with business groups to define and refine application requirements.
- Ensure code integrity with checks and balances for operational controls.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation support.
- Solve complex issues, communicate recommendations, and implement solutions for management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields (or equivalent experience) with 1 to 5 years of experience.
- Experience in Python, Angular, SQL, or other relevant technologies.
- Git experience.
- Enthusiasm for coding and collaborating with teams to build and enhance tools and processes that empower better decision-making.
