About the position

As a Software Engineer specializing in Salesforce Marketing Cloud at Ford Motor Company, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how the company engages with its users through innovative digital solutions. You will be responsible for hands-on technical design and development, as well as providing leadership to the Ford Pro CRM Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud engineering team. Your work will directly impact the quality of solutions delivered to our functional partners and their customers, ensuring that best practices and development processes are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle. In this role, you will deliver Salesforce solutions across Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and other related technology platforms. You will act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) on projects, guiding junior team members and ensuring that Salesforce best practices are followed. Your responsibilities will include managing the technical delivery of Marketing Cloud projects, which encompasses building, system testing, documentation, and deployment activities. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers to review features and user stories, converting functional requirements into technical specifications, and estimating user stories to plan team capacity effectively. Your ability to analyze and identify gaps in functional and business requirements will be crucial, as you will need to communicate these changes with product owners to align with the Marketing Cloud and Salesforce architecture. You will leverage integrations between Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and external applications, utilizing REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth, and Single Sign-On. Additionally, you will define solution and configuration review methodologies, perform independent reviews, and certify the metadata developed by yourself and junior team members. Your role will also involve managing technical risks and issues, ensuring effective communication with internal teams and clients to address any design or functional gaps that may arise. Responsibilities

  • Deliver Salesforce solutions on Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and other related technology platforms
  • Play technical SME role on projects to design Marketing Cloud Solutions
  • Provide technical leadership on projects by guiding junior team members
  • Accountable for Marketing Cloud technical delivery including build, system testing, documentation, and deployment activities
  • Support Product Managers in reviewing features/user-stories and converting functional requirements to technical requirements
  • Analyze and identify gaps in functional/business requirements and discuss changes with product owners
  • Leverage integrations between Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and external applications using REST, SOAP APIs, oAuth and Single Sign-On
  • Define solution and configuration review methodology and perform independent reviews
  • Manage technical risks and issues as well as cross dependencies with other teams
  • Effectively debug and resolve technical issues and/or defects
  • Assist in writing technical approach and design documentation as required
  • Collaborate with other Product Anchors to reduce complexity across the portfolio
  • Ensure engineering excellence is achieved within the product group
  • Clearly communicate technology strategy and vision to team members and stakeholders
  • Innovate and operate with an iterative, agile and user-centric perspective

Requirements

  • 6+ years of overall experience in Marketing Cloud implementation in Sales Cloud and Service
  • Experience in a Data Management role, using Conceptual Data models, Logical Data models, High level Design & Low-Level Design
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud solution design, development, and integrations with other Salesforce products
  • Lead solution design, architecture, and delivery for enterprise-level projects
  • Interact directly with client stakeholders and business end users to analyze their business
  • Proven ability to effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce relevant technologies: Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, MuleSoft, and other Salesforce ecosystem products and solutions
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills with ability to present ideas clearly
  • Strong sense of ownership with the motivation to build and maintain operational excellence
  • Salesforce Certifications
