The position is for a software engineer who will be responsible for analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software enhancements and new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. The code developed must be utilized in the core version of applications available for commercial sale. The software engineer will interact with product managers and users to define system requirements and necessary modifications, ensuring that the software meets the needs of the business and its clients. Participation in software design meetings is essential, as is the ability to analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. In this role, the engineer will write technical specifications based on conceptual designs and stated business requirements. They will be responsible for writing code, completing programming tasks, and performing testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies. Documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance will also be part of the job responsibilities. Additionally, the software engineer will train and communicate with internal teams, including Client Training, Client Relationship, and Sales teams, regarding systems applications. The position may also involve developing or executing project plans, budgets, and schedules, as well as documenting work and results. The software engineer may deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to both technical and business groups, addressing internal and external audiences. Other related duties may be assigned as needed, making this a dynamic and multifaceted role within the organization.
