About the position

The Software Engineer Senior - GCP position involves full stack development, focusing on both web and server-side engineering. The role emphasizes the use of modern frameworks, open-source tools, and cloud technologies, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), to create effective software solutions. The engineer will engage in paired programming, test-driven development, and continuous integration and deployment, ensuring high-quality code delivery across the application stack.

Responsibilities

• Perform full stack development ranging from web to server-side engineering.
• Leverage modern frameworks and cloud technologies to develop software effectively.
• Develop working, tested code across the full stack of technologies.
• Build distributed, service-oriented, cloud microservice-based architectures.
• Develop components across all tiers of the application stack and integrate and deploy developed software.
• Modify CI/CD pipeline and scripts to improve continuous integration practices.
• Identify minimal viable product and decompose features by story slicing.
• Identify inter-team dependencies and ensure timely resolution of dependencies.
• Ensure functional and non-functional quality and on-time delivery using agile and lean principles.
• Embrace extreme programming practices including paired development and test-driven development.

Requirements

• Full stack software engineering experience of 4+ years.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• SQL experience in Oracle or Postgres.
• Strong communication skills to interact with business customers.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills with a commitment to quality and project timelines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work individually and/or with a team.
