About the position

Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to work in a Hardware In The Loop (HWIL) environment. This role involves developing and integrating software for real-time simulation and visualization, as well as interfacing with missile hardware. The engineer will be responsible for the overall integration of sensor hardware and software, contributing to the safety and strength of military operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate software for real-time simulation in a HWIL environment.
• Support the integration of sensor hardware/software with missile hardware in real-time operations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret customer needs and develop software solutions.
• Perform hardware and software integration in Dallas laboratories.

Requirements

• Experience in real-time embedded software development.
• Proficiency in C/C++ (version 11 or higher for C++).
• Experience developing in Linux.
• Ability to interpret customer needs and provide technical feedback to the team.
• Experience integrating hardware and software.
• Final Secret Clearance required.
• Ability to work on-site in Dallas for hardware and software integration.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Fortran and Bash Scripting.
• Hands-on experience with hardware testing and embedded systems.
• Familiarity with Git, Gitlab, and JIRA.
• Agile experience (scrum).
• Experience working with an RTOS.
• Experience integrating simulations and software with FPGAs.
• Knowledge of optical design and HWIL implementation for RF seeker testing.
• Proficient in MATLAB and MS Excel for programming and data analysis.
• Experience with low-level device drivers/BSP work.
• RF/Radar/Digital Signal Processing experience.
