About the position
The Senior Principal Software Engineer in Data Architecture is responsible for leading the design and implementation of scalable data architecture solutions. This role focuses on creating robust data models, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing data flow across various systems. The position requires a deep understanding of data management principles and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data strategy and governance.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of data architecture solutions.
- Develop and maintain data models and data flow diagrams.
- Ensure data integrity and optimize data storage and retrieval processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and governance policies.
- Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on data architecture.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of cloud data services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
