About the position

The Software Engineer (ServiceNow) at Themis Insight will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining complex software systems, particularly focusing on ServiceNow applications. This role involves working on various tasks such as updating workflows, modifying forms, integrating APIs, and improving ticket routing. The position requires a strong understanding of software development methodologies and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance workflows and update logic in ServiceNow applications.
  • Modify forms and integrate APIs to improve functionality.
  • Improve ticket routing and develop status tracking systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements.
  • Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
  • Resolve software problem reports and provide input to system design.
  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
  • Debug existing software and correct defects as needed.
  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
  • Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
  • Write or review software and system documentation.
  • Serve as team lead for software development projects as appropriate.
  • Design or implement complex database interfaces and queries.
  • Develop algorithms to meet or exceed system performance standards.
  • Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
  • Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, or four years of additional SWE experience in similar software processes.
  • Two years of experience developing and customizing core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Service Catalog.
  • Four years of IT application systems experience in technology solutions delivery.
  • Experience creating and implementing scripts, business rules, policies, and ACLs in ServiceNow applications.
  • Experience integrating third-party software and APIs with ServiceNow using REST and SOAP.
  • Experience coding in scripting languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AngularJS, JSON, or other languages used in ServiceNow.
  • Four years of experience with ServiceNow Implementations.
  • Two years of experience developing on the ServiceNow Platform.
  • ServiceNow System Administrator certification or ServiceNow Application Developer certification is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ITSM and Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with API integrations and development.
