Responsibilities

• Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
• Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
• Mentors other software engineers and coaches the team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack.
• Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle.
• Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Automates manual release activities.
• Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance).

Requirements

• 7+ years' experience with Java with strong core Java skills including multi-threading, collections API, JDBC.
• Knowledge of Java profiling tools.
• Experience with Angular, Spring framework, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Test Framework, Spring Restful services, Transaction Management, Spring Annotations.
• Knowledge of performance tuning of data intensive applications.
• Strong coding, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Creative individual with a track record of working on and implementing innovative tech-based solutions.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Software development using Agile methodology and processes.
• Self-starter, organized, versatile and capable of performing work with minimal management oversight.
• Ability to work in a highly visible and fast-paced environment where business needs/priorities may change.
• Operates with a sense of urgency and ownership.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Hadoop, Big Data technologies.
• Prior experience in supporting lines of businesses.
• Prior development or infrastructure support experience.
