About the position

The Software Engineer position at ByteDance focuses on enhancing the integrity of advertising systems within TikTok. The role involves building scalable systems for ad fraud detection and risk control, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, and contributing to the overall success of the organization by delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build highly scalable systems including ad fraud detection, risk control, and ads integrity systems to improve user experiences with ads across the platform.
• Collaborate with strategy makers and machine learning engineers to build next-gen Risk Engine and ML training and serving framework.
• Contribute to the success of a rapidly growing and evolving organization with speediness and quality.
• Analyze product objectives with Product team and UX Design team to deliver results aligned with project goals.
• Collaborate with PM and R&D teams globally, in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Requirements

• Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology or a related field, and one year of related work experience; OR, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology or a related field, and three years of related work experience.
• Of the required experience, must have one year of experience in developing software using Java, Go, C++, JavaScript, Ruby, or Python.
• Experience in designing and implementing User Interfaces and scripts to automate common flows using HTML, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.
• Experience in maintaining and debugging software.
• Experience in designing and implementing software service architecture to support high throughput and fault tolerant services.
• Experience in modern software tech stack, including large-scale backend systems and web applications.
• Experience using Unix/Linux operating system.
