About the position

The Software Engineer V at DENSO International, Inc. is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and testing of real-time, embedded control systems. This role involves managing high-risk embedded software design projects, establishing software design and architecture, and leading the development of prototypes. The engineer will interact with customers and technical experts, conduct quality audits, and provide technical oversight to product development teams, ensuring adherence to DENSO's software development processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and test real-time embedded control systems.
  • Coordinate and manage new or high-risk embedded software design projects.
  • Establish basic software design and architecture and lead the development of initial prototypes.
  • Evaluate customer technical requirements and propose design alternatives as requested.
  • Provide technical oversight to product development teams in the use of DENSO's software development processes and toolchain.
  • Participate in developing long-term plans and strategies for the area.
  • Evaluate and recommend direction for software architecture and critical components.
  • Interact with customers and external peer technical experts on advanced development initiatives.
  • Conduct independent quality audits to analyze current processes and products and identify improvements.
  • Provide in-depth technical analysis in support of new business/RFQs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in embedded electronic control systems or related roles.
  • Experience creating new product code specifications and compiling customer system requirements.
  • Experience using AutoSar, MCAL, and/or custom device drivers and graphics libraries.
  • Experience creating sample code and developing performance benchmarks.
  • Experience leading product development efforts and acting as a focal point for OEM customers.
  • Experience developing and providing technical support for low-level drivers.
