About the position

The Software Engineer with Data Analytics role at Scalence focuses on enhancing resource management systems through software development and data analytics. The position requires designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that optimize resource allocation and utilization, while leveraging data analytics to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will blend software engineering skills with analytical expertise to improve resource management processes and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions specifically tailored for resource management, including tools for forecasting, allocation, and utilization tracking.
  • Write efficient, maintainable code and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions that address resource management needs and challenges.
  • Utilize data analytics techniques to analyze resource utilization data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights for improving resource management strategies.
  • Develop and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytical models to support resource management functions.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present data findings and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitor and analyze software performance related to resource management, identifying areas for optimization and enhancement.
  • Apply data-driven approaches to improve resource allocation efficiency, system performance, and overall reliability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of performance issues and implement solutions to resolve them.
  • Work closely with other engineering teams, product managers, and data analysts to ensure seamless integration of resource management solutions with existing systems and workflows.
  • Communicate technical concepts and data insights to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to software engineering and data analytics.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance resource management processes and tools.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve development methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Identify and manage risks related to resource management software and data analytics, developing strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations in all software and analytics activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development with a strong background in data analytics and resource management.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar.
  • Strong experience with data analytics tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, R, Python).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and resource management software.
  • Experience with software development frameworks, version control systems (e.g., Git), and Agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and generate actionable insights related to resource management.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven solutions and process improvements.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical and data insights to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
