About the position
The Software Engineer position at Robert Half involves joining the Secure Applications Team within the Security and Trust Organization. The role focuses on developing software tools and solutions aimed at enhancing application security and reducing risks in products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating serverless applications using Python, working with NoSQL databases, and implementing modern UI/UX designs. This position is suited for engineers who are passionate about software development and security, and who are eager to contribute to a cloud-native environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop serverless applications using object-oriented Python development.
- Work with NoSQL databases for information access and development.
- Be versatile and display leadership skills.
- Use DevOps tools like Git and Jenkins.
- Understand modern UI/UX design and implementation with React.
- Lead by implementing Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Requirements
- Expertise in Python, AWS services (API Gateway, Lambda, CDK, DocumentDB, CloudFormation), and serverless application development.
- Skilled in Python libraries (Boto3, Pytest, Requests, Pipenv/venv).
- Proficiency in JavaScript w/ React (React, ReactJS, JSX).
- Experience with REST API, containers (Docker).
- Prior exposure to Web Application Security Scanning and SSL/TLS Experience (SSLyze) will be an advantage.
- Should possess practical knowledge in CI/CD (Jenkins).
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Java 8, Groovy and TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Openshift and Helm.
- Understanding of minor Solis AWS services (Batch, CodeDeploy, CloudWatch, SQS, and CloudFront).
