About the position
Brady is looking for a Software Engineer to join our IT team to develop applications using modern development practices and technologies. This role will be a technical contributor for our application development team including web-based applications, enterprise system integrations, and automation in areas such as customer service, manufacturing, and IT. Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and translate business requirements into product and technical designs.
- Suggest technical alternatives and improve / streamline processes and systems.
- Contribute to engineering planning activities including backlog decomposition, estimating, and sequencing with product owners.
- Be a part of a small, focused team using Agile / Scrum to deliver work.
- Take ownership of technical quality and improve it over time.
- Development of mobile responsive front-end web components using modern web technologies.
- Development of server-side components using primarily a Microsoft technology stack.
- Create tools to support engineering and operations processes.
- Partner with other IT teams including infrastructure and security to ensure applications are performant and secure.
- Write technical specifications and other forms of documentation.
Requirements
- BS in computer engineering, computer science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a developer in professional software settings.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Microsoft.NET, C#, and SQL Server development, and RESTful web services.
- Working knowledge of front-end web technologies including one or more modern Javascript frameworks (REACT preferred).
- Experience designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful web services / APIs.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment. Must be flexible and quick to adapt to changes and issues.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with Agile development environment teams.
