About the position

Randstad Digital is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team in Iselin, New Jersey. This contract position offers an opportunity to work on CI/CD pipeline automation and application development using modern programming languages and tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, particularly with Java, Python, and Groovy, and experience in microservices and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Work on CI/CD pipeline and automation
• Engage in hands-on application development
• Perform production work related to software engineering

Requirements

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent
• 4+ years of development experience using Groovy, Java, C#, or Python
• 3+ years of experience automating secure development practices
• Hands-on experience with tools like SonarQube, JFrog Xray, Fortify, etc.
• Development experience with Jenkins DSL dialect of Groovy
• Experience in building CI/CD pipelines with workflow automation

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of experience with Agile software development methodologies
• 4+ years of experience in software architectures including microservices
• 1+ years of experience designing applications hosted in the public cloud
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions & GitHub Advanced Security
• Knowledge of solution design leveraging IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
• Fluency with modern monitoring and logging systems
• Familiarity with Jira and expressing non-functional requirements as stories
