Software Engineer

About the position

The Software Engineer position at GN involves providing technical leadership and developing software applications to meet user needs. The role requires evaluating, estimating, architecting, developing, unit testing, and supporting the deployment of software applications while mentoring team members. The engineer will work closely with research and engineering teams to design robust, scalable cloud software, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategies and application security.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in software application development.
• Evaluate, estimate, architect, and develop software applications.
• Conduct unit testing and support the deployment of software applications.
• Mentor team members to help them reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with global teams to determine high-level functional and technical requirements.
• Participate in software development, systems integration, and deployment of cloud solutions.
• Stay updated on state-of-the-art development tools and programming techniques.
• Interface with product management and engineering leaders to design scalable software.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience as a Software Developer.
• Proven track record in cloud development using Microsoft Azure.
• Expertise in implementing and consuming web services.
• Experience with Microservice architecture and Docker.
• Solid development experience in C# and .NET Core.
• Experienced in API design and development.
• Experience in cloud-based security design principles.
• Familiarity with Agile development, preferably in a SAFe environment.
• Experience with Git.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
