About the position

The position involves developing, creating, and modifying computer applications software or specialized utility programs to optimize operational efficiency. The role requires analyzing user needs and developing software solutions, with a strong focus on Java and microservices architecture, particularly within the Google Cloud Platform environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
• Design software or customize software to optimize operational efficiency.
• Develop programs or scripts according to specifications and established coding standards.
• Analyze, review, and test for accuracy and optimal implementation of developed solutions.
• Analyze and resolve program/script or system failures.
• Facilitate formal code reviews for programs/scripts.
• Perform software system maintenance, support, and requirement analysis.
• Assist in designing GUI and software components.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Java and object-oriented concepts.
• Experience with Java-based frameworks like Spring.
• Proficiency in developing, deploying, and maintaining microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Experience with RESTful tools like Postman or Swagger.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such as Gitlab for automating build, test, and deployment processes.
• Working knowledge of tools like Terraform.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
