About the position

As a Software Engineer at Social Mobile, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of the software platform for all products. This position involves collaborating with various teams to ensure software quality, managing software development processes, and creating a build environment to support product deployment. You will be integral in enhancing mobile solutions that streamline operations for clients across diverse industries.

Responsibilities

• Manage software development processes and ensure timely delivery of software solutions.
• Provide triage and log analysis for any reported software issues.
• Debug and fix reported software issues with our products.
• Ensure software quality aligns with client expectations by identifying testing areas and monitoring execution.
• Define the roadmap for both Android Platform and Modem based on the defined product roadmap.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project delays, budget, and quality issues.
• Create a Build Environment on the Cloud Server to meet ODM expectations.
• Create builds as required and deliver them to internal and external stakeholders.
• Engage with internal and external 3rd party software teams.
• Coordinate with teams across multiple projects by setting KPIs, defining tasks, and providing direction.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in a similar consumer product industry working with global partners and US-based team members.
• Expert technical knowledge of Android ecosystems: Android OS, Apps, Frameworks, Kernel.
• Proficient in C/C++, Java, Python, and Makefiles.
• Knowledge of software engineering tools, such as Android Studio, Visual Code, and Jira.
• Familiarity with Cellular technologies, including 5G and LTE.
• Familiarity with Qualcomm chipsets and tools, such as QFIL, QXDM, and PCAT.
• 2+ years of experience working in a technical, product development environment.
• Strong product and process knowledge.
• Exemplary attention to detail and clear and effective written and verbal communication.
• Excellent problem resolution and critical thinking skills.
• Must be a US Citizen.
