About the position

The Software Engineer at Neon Moose LLC d/b/a Justworks Labs is responsible for developing frontend web applications for both internal and public use. This role involves gathering requirements, collaborating with team leads to create effective user experiences, and implementing designs with precision. The engineer will also research design patterns, propose technical solutions, and manage the coding, testing, and deployment of modern web applications. Additionally, the position includes assisting with team hiring and development, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting knowledge-sharing and mentorship within the team.

Responsibilities

• Develop frontend web applications for both internal and public use.
• Gather requirements for application development.
• Partner with team lead to produce clean, effective, and on-brand user experiences.
• Implement designs with a high level of fidelity.
• Research design patterns and propose technical solutions to common web UI/UX problems.
• Responsible for coding, testing, and deploying modern web applications.
• Assist with the hiring and development of the growing team.
• Exercise good judgement and critical thinking when analyzing and assessing problems and implications.
• Identify patterns and make connections of underlying issues, understanding risks, and developing mitigation strategies.
• Take ownership of the outcome of projects.
• Foster a positive work environment through teamwork and communication.
• Encourage knowledge-sharing, collaboration, mentorship, and forward-thinking within the team.

Requirements

• Must have a bachelor's degree (or foreign degree equivalent).
• Must have completed a software coding bootcamp or similar program.
• Must have legal authority to work in the U.S.
