About the position
The Software Engineering Analyst position at Accenture Federal Services focuses on leveraging technology to enhance the capabilities of the US federal government. The role emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and the application of modern engineering practices to develop solutions that address various challenges faced by defense, national security, public safety, and health organizations. The position is part of a Technology Development Program aimed at fostering technical skills and hands-on experience in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Kick-start your career in our Technology Development Program to learn the latest technical skills
- Experiment and be an early adopter of emerging technologies and next-generation IT
- Apply application design and development across multiple technology areas
- Configure software products and systems
- Develop product and platform prototypes and proof of concepts across the technology stack
- Drive consistent quality solution development and delivery
- Develop and design new software that doesn't exist yet
- Leverage engineering frameworks and methods, such as Agile and DevOps, to build new solutions faster
- Define modern architectures to support cloud native engineering
- Build tools to connect to multiple data sources, collect data, store and analyze data, and present data for post analysis
- Work side-by-side with teammates to design and develop technology solutions to solve federal government challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree
- Experience with multiple programming languages, modern frameworks, architectures, databases, and cloud platforms
- Experience with Java Application Servers such as Red Hat JBoss
- Experience with data modeling and ORM tools (e.g. Hibernate)
- Architecture design experience using common design patterns
- Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS) components in solutions
- Experience working in a DevSecOps environment, using tools such as Jenkins and Ansible in CI/CD pipelines.
