About the position

The Cloud Platform Engineer role focuses on leveraging cloud technologies, particularly AWS, to design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure. The position requires hands-on experience with Terraform for automation and infrastructure as code, along with a strong understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration. The engineer will collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot issues and mentor team members on best practices in cloud deployment and management.

Responsibilities

• Lead Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) efforts with hands-on experience in AWS, Terraform, and EKS.
• Troubleshoot and customize Terraform scripts for various deployments.
• Design and develop reusable Terraform modules for infrastructure management.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform scripts, applying knowledge of Terraform fundamentals.
• Guide and mentor team members on Terraform implementation best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to understand user requirements and implement technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot operational issues related to AWS infrastructure.
• Deploy, scale, and manage Kubernetes clusters effectively.
• Ensure security practices are followed within Kubernetes deployments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in cloud platforms, specifically AWS, Terraform, and EKS.
• Excellent hands-on experience (3+ years) with Terraform scripting and AWS services (EC2, IAM, Route53, EKS).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their integration with Kubernetes.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Docker and Helm for container management.
• Good understanding of security practices within Kubernetes deployments.
