As a Software Engineering Director at Duolingo, you will lead cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions in the newly launched Music area. You will be responsible for defining the strategy, setting the roadmap, and ensuring alignment across teams while delivering impactful engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define the strategy and set the roadmap for your teams
- Be a strong cross-functional partner with product, design, and data science
- Train and coach newer managers and engineering leads
- Navigate complex leadership situations, ensuring inclusivity and alignment
- Shape key decisions about architecture and implementation of engineering solutions
- Drive the planning, execution, and success of technical projects
Requirements
- Strong technical background in engineering
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of industry trends
- Solid product sense and familiarity with the product being built
- Experience in managing and mentoring teams
