About the position

The Engineering Director will lead the Sales Enablement team at CHG Healthcare, overseeing the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Salesforce software solutions that support the sales and staffing lifecycle across all CHG subsidiaries. This role emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and technical leadership to enhance the capabilities of the engineering team and drive product development aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vision and leadership to the engineering teams.
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and their direct leaders, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Foster a cooperative environment for seamless collaboration among stakeholders, product management, engineering, and design.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation, experimentation, and customer-centric development.
  • Provide technical leadership and insight during the product development process.
  • Understand business objectives and customer pain points to drive innovations that meet market needs.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to leverage advancements for competitive advantage.
  • Support and guide architectural direction and technology choices for scalable and maintainable software systems.
  • Develop and maintain a technology roadmap, managing team skill expertise and attracting top engineering talent.
  • Drive continuous improvement in software development processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Establish performance metrics and KPIs for the engineering team and track progress towards goals.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks that may impact product decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or master degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior engineering leadership role.
  • Experienced in implementing packaged applications in a Salesforce Environment.
  • Strong leadership skills including coaching, development, team building, conflict resolution, and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
