Software Engineering Intern - Chicago/Buffalo Grove

About the position

The Software Engineering Internship at Siemens is designed for undergraduate students to gain hands-on experience in software development while contributing to innovative solutions in a dynamic environment. Interns will work closely with senior software leaders and participate in a multi-functional team to deliver business value across various projects, focusing on grid control, automation, and building energy solutions. This 10-12 week internship program aims to foster the next generation of software leaders within Siemens, providing opportunities to create new products and applications using the latest technologies.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside senior software leaders to deliver business value on tight deadlines.
• Report regularly to senior business leaders on deliverables.
• Partner with mentors in upper management.
• Collaborate with a multi-functional team to create innovative solutions to problems across multiple business segments.
• Interact and partner with other interns and co-ops.

Requirements

• Current sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's degree with at least one year remaining in their school program.
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.
• Knowledge of Python, C++, C#, HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, or other relevant programming languages.
• Must be located in Chicago/Buffalo Grove area during Summer 2025.
• Permanent work authorization in the U.S. is required.
