About the position
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Summer 2025 Software Engineer Intern to perform software analysis and development, collaborating with design engineers to create optimal solutions for the FBM EGSE Organization. This role emphasizes teamwork and requires a strong foundation in programming and software platforms.
Responsibilities
- Perform preliminary and detailed level software analysis and development.
- Collaborate with design engineers to develop optimal solutions for the FBM EGSE Organization.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program majoring in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience programming in C, C++, or an equivalent programming language.
- Must be a US Citizen; this position will require obtaining a government security clearance.
Nice-to-haves
- Working knowledge in multiple software platforms.
- Working knowledge in Windows and Linux OS environments.
- Coursework in object-oriented software design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
