About the position

The internship position at Teradata is designed for students pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD degree, providing an opportunity to work on meaningful projects within the SQLES Team. Interns will engage in developing scalable solutions for the Teradata SQL Engine across various public cloud platforms, while gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative and diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and validate SQLE images for supported public cloud platforms.
• Develop common/public SQLE Microservice for provisioning and runtime operations related to SQLE.
• Implement in-site SQLE services for cloud runtime operations such as scaling and node failure recovery.
• Provide on-node SQLE services and tools for cloud runtime operations.
• Automate application provisioning, system upgrades, and database scale operations.
• Utilize professional software engineering practices throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Evaluate new technologies and define long-term strategic investments and feature roadmaps.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a BS/MS/PhD degree program with graduation dates between December 2024 and June 2026.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Decent knowledge and concept of Cloud technologies.
