The Launch and Missile Defense Systems (LMDS) division within Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Software Engineering Manager 2 to support the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. This position is located in Huntsville, AL, and is integral to the advancement of the missile defense industry. The Software Engineering Manager will oversee a team of over 40 members, ensuring effective staffing, employee development, and continuous improvement of engineering practices. This role requires a balance of managerial duties (40%) and technical responsibilities (60%) on the program. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance for themselves and their team. They will lead subordinate department managers in their support of engineering teams, fostering effective collaboration, communication, and problem-solving.
