About the position

In the Wireless Software group at Apple, you will play a pivotal role in advancing wireless connectivity technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers dedicated to developing and maintaining automation frameworks across all Apple platforms, including Apple Watch, Apple TV, AirPods, iOS, and macOS. Your leadership will be crucial in designing innovative solutions that enhance the customer experience with Apple products and services. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless connectivity for users, making their interactions with devices feel almost magical. Your responsibilities will encompass leading a team of framework developers, mentoring entry-level engineers, and defining the team's charter regarding tool delivery and daily deliverables. You will manage project timelines and deliverables while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages problem-solving and innovation. Strong debugging and triaging skills will be essential as you navigate complex challenges in wireless testing. You will also be expected to have a solid understanding of automation workflows and experience in framework architecture design, particularly in Objective-C or Swift. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required for this role.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in framework architecture design.
  • Development experience in Objective-C or Swift.
  • Strong debugging and triaging capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Confirmed understanding of statistics as it relates to data analysis.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration systems like xCode Server, Jenkins.
