About the position

The Software Engineering Manager for Automation Frameworks at Apple is responsible for leading a team of engineers to develop and maintain automation frameworks across all Apple platforms, including iOS, macOS, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and AirPods. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create frameworks and testing tools that enhance wireless connectivity technologies. The manager will mentor entry-level engineers, oversee project deliverables, and ensure the team thrives in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of framework developers to design and maintain automation frameworks.
• Mentor entry-level engineers and help define the team's charter regarding tool delivery and structure.
• Manage project deliverables and lead project initiatives.
• Utilize strong debugging and triaging capabilities to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop wireless solutions.
• Contribute to core operating system frameworks and maintain shared Python and Objective-C frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in framework architecture design.
• Development experience in Objective-C or Swift.
• Strong debugging and triaging capabilities.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Confirmed understanding of statistics as it relates to data analysis.
• Experience with Continuous Integration systems like xCode Server, Jenkins.
