About the position

The Audio & Media Technologies (AMT) group at Apple is seeking an experienced software engineering manager to lead a team responsible for the conferencing aspects of various Apple products, including FaceTime and HomeKit IP Cameras. The role focuses on enhancing the audio and media experience across devices, emphasizing power and performance in real-time audio-video conferencing and media distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead an existing team responsible for conferencing aspects of Apple products.
• Oversee the implementation of software services for real-time audio-video conferencing and media distribution systems.
• Mentor and develop team members, promoting software and engineering excellence.
• Manage multiple projects under tight deadlines to achieve meaningful results for customers and cross-functional teams.
• Extend the Apple media experience to more devices and endpoints.

Requirements

• B.S or M.S in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with a strong focus in software engineering.
• Credible management experience in software engineering.
• Excellent conceptual understanding and working knowledge of media systems, embedded software, and system software design.
• Experience with development in an embedded real-time environment using C, C++, or Objective-C.
• Strong attention to detail.
