About the position

The Software Engineering Manager for Core Services at Apple Services Engineering will lead a team responsible for building scalable and innovative features for various Apple services, including the App Store, Apple Music, and Apple TV+. This role involves overseeing the development of secure, end-to-end solutions and custom software that processes creative work and delivers media across multiple platforms. The manager will work cross-functionally to enhance the online content system and ensure efficient data transformation and delivery to internal and external partners, all while maintaining Apple's commitment to privacy and high performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to build scalable and creative features for Apple services.
• Oversee the development of the online content system that provides catalog metadata and editorial data.
• Model entities into the online content system based on upcoming feature requirements.
• Work on a data transformation platform using Spark to provide catalog metadata to various teams and partners.
• Collaborate with 3rd party partners to understand their requirements and propose solutions.
• Develop a vision and roadmap for the team, including project plans and architectures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in software engineering and team leadership.
• Strong understanding of Big Data technologies and data transformation processes.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration and project management.
• Ability to model complex data systems and understand performance metrics.
