About the position

The Sr. Manager of Software Engineering for E-Commerce is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing large teams of software engineers and overseeing the development and growth of critical systems and applications within the organization. This position requires expertise in backend development, particularly in Java, and a strong understanding of E-Commerce architecture. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and requires excellent communication skills to drive projects forward effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead large teams of software engineers in the development of E-Commerce applications.
• Oversee the growth and maintenance of critical systems and applications internally.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
• Drive the implementation of best practices in software engineering and development processes.
• Ensure the team adheres to coding standards and design patterns in software development.

Requirements

• At least 8+ years of experience in backend core Java programming, including multithreading, collections, concurrency, algorithms, syntax, data structures, and design patterns.
• Expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Proven experience with API design and development, headless architectures, and stateless systems.
• Strong RDBMS programming skills.
• Experience with E-Commerce architecture, systems, and applications, with IoT experience preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of management experience in Software Engineering, preferably managing larger teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a self-motivated attitude.

Nice-to-haves

• Preferred cloud experience within GCP.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional work experience.
