About the position

The Engineering Manager for the Endpoint Security Team at Apple will lead a high-performing team responsible for developing services that detect and mitigate security risks. This role requires a hands-on technical leader with extensive experience in large-scale software development, particularly in cybersecurity. Responsibilities

  • Lead the Endpoint Security Team in developing advanced telemetry, detection, and response capabilities.
  • Support services that underpin a large number of security capabilities at Apple.
  • Mentor team members and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Design and implement security capabilities that are innovative and effective.
  • Manage the delivery of high-quality services and products under tight deadlines.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of overall industry experience.
  • 2+ years of experience building and leading high-performing software engineering teams with a focus on security.
  • Proven track record of delivering OS tools with deep knowledge of Linux Kernel/OS and networking.
  • Experience with deployment processes and building CI/CD tools.
  • Expert knowledge of at least one programming language: Swift, Rust, C/C++, Objective-C, or Go.
  • Ability to code and participate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience using and releasing open source software in corporate environments.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous information security experience.
  • Experience building endpoint security tools for data center applications.
  • Experience building operating systems, kernels, drivers, daemons, frameworks.
  • Passion for product ownership and a track record of product development.
  • Expertise with software security primitives and performance concepts.
