About the position

As the Software Engineering Manager at Lockheed Martin, you will lead the F-16 MMC OFP Software Development team, overseeing all phases of the System Software lifecycle. This includes initial system design concepts, software requirements development, design, implementation, integration, and testing. You will be responsible for coordinating work assignments, performance assessments, and workforce planning while ensuring the successful completion of major milestones associated with specific programs/projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of Mission Software tasks across all phases of the System Software lifecycle.
• Coordinate subordinate employee work assignments and performance assessments.
• Manage salary, recruitment, selection, training, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
• Plan and develop workforce strategies for retention and performance.
• Provide oversight of cost, technical, and schedule aspects across contracts.
• Input and oversee new contract proposals.
• Understand team performance and motivate quality improvement across contracted efforts.
• Interface with external teams to meet commitments.

Requirements

• Experience leading a team of engineers.
• Understanding of Agile software methodology.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other STEM related discipline.
• Must be a US citizen.
