About the position

The Software Engineering Manager for GenAI Media Foundations at Meta is responsible for leading a team of machine learning engineers and applied research scientists in developing and deploying advanced machine learning models for media editing applications. This role involves setting the technical direction for projects, managing the full machine learning pipeline, and fostering a collaborative work environment focused on innovation and learning.

Responsibilities

• Support a team of ML engineers and applied research scientists eager to fine-tune, train and ship models for product use cases
• Set the technical direction for projects centered around media editing using Generative AI
• Take responsibility of full ML pipeline including training, evaluation, optimization and deployment
• Collaborate with other ML and Research Teams to apply the state-of-the-art approaches and models to our products
• Contribute to a highly collaborative and fun work environment

Requirements

• MSc in Computer Vision or Machine Learning or relevant field
• 10+ Years of experience building ML models
• Track record of shipping 0 to 1 projects
• 2+ Years of experience managing a team of software engineers / applied research scientists

Nice-to-haves

• PhD in Computer Vision or Machine Learning or relevant field
• 3+ years of experience in managing teams of applied research scientists
