About the position

The Software Engineering Manager for GenAI Media Foundations at Meta is responsible for leading a team of machine learning engineers and applied research scientists to develop and implement cutting-edge ML models for media editing and generation. This role involves overseeing the full ML pipeline, setting technical directions for projects, and fostering a collaborative work environment. The manager will play a crucial role in enhancing media experiences across Meta's Family of Apps by leveraging state-of-the-art Generative AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support a team of ML engineers and applied research scientists eager to fine-tune, train and ship models for product use cases
• Set the technical direction for projects centered around media editing using Generative AI
• Take responsibility of full ML pipeline including training, evaluation, optimization and deployment
• Collaborate with other ML and Research Teams to integrate state-of-the-art approaches and models into our products
• Contribute to a highly collaborative and fun work environment

Requirements

• MSc in Computer Vision or Machine Learning or relevant field
• 10+ Years of experience building ML models
• Track record of shipping 0 to 1 projects
• 2+ Years of experience managing a team of software engineers / applied research scientists

Nice-to-haves

• PhD in Computer Vision or Machine Learning or relevant field
• 3+ years of experience in managing teams of applied research scientists
