About the position

The Software Engineering Manager - Mobile Development at U.S. Bank is responsible for leading a team to deliver high-quality software solutions for the Payment Domain Responsive Web application. This role involves overseeing the engineering of the Online Banking platform, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with best practices in security and product development. The manager will guide a team of architects and engineers, strategize enhancements to the Online Banking experience, and manage the development process from requirements gathering to implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of architects, engineers, and automation engineers to deliver software solutions.
  • Collaborate on architectural and integration solutions and guide development teams.
  • Conduct market research on personalization experiences in the financial sector.
  • Ensure compliance and security best practices are followed in product development.
  • Prepare High Level Design and Low Level Design documentation.
  • Strategize technical solutions to enhance the Online Banking experience.
  • Enable product teams and partner with leaders to drive engineering momentum and business value.
  • Lead a mobile development team and manage project requirements.
  • Conduct requirement gathering, impact analysis, and estimations.
  • Perform code reviews and implement best coding practices.
  • Manage release processes and provide test support in various environments.
  • Utilize web development technologies including Javascript, Angular, and LAMP stack.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Applications, Computer Information Systems, or Computer Science.
  • 5 years of experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
  • 60 months of experience in requirement gathering, impact analysis, and developing proof of concepts.
  • Experience in code reviews and generating unit test cases.
  • Experience in release management and test support in QA, UAT, and production environments.
  • Proficiency in web development using Javascript, Angular, LAMP, CSS, MySQL, and MongoDB.
  • Experience leading a mobile development team.
  • Familiarity with iOS, Android, React, Node JS, Cloud engineering, JAVA, and Spring Boot API.
