About the position

The Software Engineering Manager will lead a remote-first team in an AI solutions startup focused on transforming the medical industry through innovative software solutions. This role involves managing a team of engineers while also being hands-on in software development, ensuring quality and timely project delivery, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a minimum of 4 software engineers in the development of innovative software solutions.
• Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define project scope and objectives.
• Design and implement scalable and secure system architecture using technologies such as Node.js and React.JS.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring quality and timely delivery of projects.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to develop their skills and knowledge.
• Manage project resources, timelines, and budgets to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Implement best practices in software development and system architecture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proficiency in Node.js and React.JS frameworks.
• Experience with AWS services for cloud-based applications.
• Strong understanding of software and system architecture principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team.
