About The Position
Facebook is seeking highly creative and experienced engineering leaders to join our team as Software Engineering Managers. This role is designed for individuals who possess a blend of technical expertise and strong management capabilities. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, including entrepreneurs and those from established organizations. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be expected to demonstrate progressive technical experience along with a proven track record of increasing management responsibilities. In this position, you will be both a technical leader and an effective people manager. You will serve as a subject matter expert in your product domain, leading teams that deliver on multiple projects with increasing dependencies in ambiguous or high-impact areas. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with your team and cross-functional partners to define and influence the overall strategy. Your role will involve driving the creation and execution of roadmaps, collaborating with various functions, and driving engineering initiatives that have a significant impact at the organizational level. You will also participate in technical design discussions, measure the impact of your team, and set clear expectations and goals. Working effectively with cross-functional partners and stakeholders will be essential to achieving optimal outcomes. Additionally, you will partner with leadership to influence and drive organizational design, contributions, and prioritization of projects.
