Meta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead product development teams in Los Angeles, CA. This role is designed for individuals who possess a blend of technical expertise and strong management capabilities. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of multiple projects that may have increasing dependencies in complex and high-impact areas. You will work closely with your team and cross-functional partners to define and influence the strategic direction of the product, ensuring that the engineering initiatives align with organizational goals. In this position, you will be expected to drive the creation and execution of the product roadmap, collaborating with various functions to ensure that engineering initiatives are effectively implemented. You will also participate in technical design discussions, measure the impact of your team, and set clear expectations and goals for performance. Your ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners and stakeholders will be crucial in achieving optimal outcomes and influencing organizational design and prioritization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical management, particularly in building holistic web-based software solutions and API design.
