About the position

As a Software Engineering Manager Sr at PNC, you will lead multiple Digital Support teams, focusing on mobile and micro app development. This role emphasizes strong management skills and the ability to foster a culture of learning and innovation within the engineering teams. You will be responsible for overseeing talent management, driving technological innovation, and ensuring continuous improvement in engineering practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a group of software engineers/managers across multiple product lines.
  • Oversee the talent management of engineering talent, including recruiting, mentoring, and enabling a culture of learning with a focus on engineering craftsmanship.
  • Foster technological innovation, ensuring adoption of current trends, capabilities, and practices emerging in the market.
  • Encourage sound technology choices and drive innovative technology architecture and solution design.
  • Identify issues, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership/management experience
  • Experience in micro app development
  • Experience with mobile apps (iOS/Android)
  • Experience in application redesigns
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 8+ years of industry-relevant experience
  • 5+ years of prior management experience
