About the position
The Software Engineering Manager at Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) is responsible for leading and guiding multiple software engineering teams within the Connect division. The manager will oversee recruitment, training, and mentorship of team members while providing technical guidance and support in Agile methodologies. The position plays a crucial role in strategic planning and quality assurance for engineering deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting and onboarding new engineering talent and supporting their integration into the team.
- Providing training, coaching, and mentorship to help team members develop their skills and advance in their careers.
- Fostering a positive team culture rooted in collaboration, innovation, and trust.
- Supporting and coaching teams in Agile methodologies, helping them to adopt best practices and continually improve their workflows.
- Providing technical guidance and expertise to the engineering teams.
- Ensuring that engineering deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Handling escalations and critical incidents effectively.
- Contributing to strategic planning initiatives and providing insights on technology trends.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineering Manager.
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Developer.
- Master's or PhD in a technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong background in engineering and software development.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
