About the position

Experlogix is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to join our team in South Jordan, UT. This full-time hybrid role offers flexibility in in-office days and is pivotal in leading our software development teams. The Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of software systems, managing projects, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products. With over two decades of experience in delivering exceptional digital experiences across various industries, Experlogix is committed to elevating client engagement and business growth through our suite of business applications, including Configure Price Quote (CPQ), Document Automation, and Digital Commerce solutions. In this role, you will lead a specialized team through the full project lifecycle, from concept to implementation. You will collaborate closely with a team of QA professionals to ensure that our software products are ready for launch. Your responsibilities will include directing the work of engineers, establishing policies and procedures that promote best practices in software development, and overseeing all testing operations. You will also be tasked with automating as much of the QA and testing process as possible, utilizing tools like Selenium and programming languages such as Java and SQL. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring that our software products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development teams and manage projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Design software systems and oversee distributed systems.
• Direct the work of engineers to ensure adherence to best practices in software development.
• Establish policies and procedures that produce high-quality software products and services.
• Delegate testing tasks to team members and oversee all testing operations.
• Automate QA and testing processes to enhance efficiency.
• Log all test results and issues for tracking and resolution.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Solid experience with software development and design.
• Proven team leadership and project management experience.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and software architecture.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience with test automation tools, particularly Selenium.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and SQL.
