About the position

The Software Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of software engineers in the development of advanced software solutions for machine vision-based measurement systems. This role involves guiding the team in software design, implementation, and testing, while ensuring high-quality product delivery that meets customer requirements. The manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to define project goals, allocate resources, and establish timelines, while also providing mentorship and technical guidance to team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to the software engineering team.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent, conducting performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges, driving root cause analysis.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance software development processes.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in machine vision and AI.
  • Perform full stack development in programming languages such as C++, C#, C, Rust, and JavaScript.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on signal processing and multithreaded applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; master's or PhD preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, or similar languages used in machine vision.
  • Working knowledge of signal processing and multithreading.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks and machine vision libraries.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in product management.
  • Familiarity with vision inspection systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
